SSCC #18 - Sketch

Happy Sunday!! Can you believe Christmas is almost here:) It's going to be a busy week for a lot of people! I know it will for me. Last minute shopping and baking. Welcome to another challenge week at Stampin' Sisters In Christ.

Thanks to all of you who participate in our challenges. I am honored to be the hostess for this week. So as I was thinking about the challenge, it dawned on me how busy our lives are going to be this week. So here it is...

The Challenge: is to make a card using this sketch below. That's it, simple and easy huh??

Verse: The verse I chose is from Luke 1:26-32. Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary.
And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was.
Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
"And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. "He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.

I know it's long but I wanted to pick a verse that depicted the birth of Jesus. One that goes with the upcoming Holiday.

Sponsor: Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Anne House. She is offering a 3 month subscription to AFP/SNR magazine. That's great, Thanks Anne.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a safe Holiday.
Merry Christmas!!

For this challenge I used a digi from D.A.I.S.I.E Company. They have a whole digi village you can download for free. How awsome is that. So I chose the bakery and made an easel card. SSCC #16 Thinking Of You!!

Good Morning to you all!! I'm so happy it's Sunday, because today we have a new challenge for you at SSCC.

Our hostess for this week is the talented Ceal Pritchett. She chose the verse from 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
That's a wonderful verse Ceal, thanks for choosing that one.

The challenge for us is to make a card or project using images of people (ie..children, men, women) to let someone know you are praying for them.
I used the image from Mo Manning , Em is the name of this digi. I paired it up with some dp I had and used my blossom nesties. I added some dew drops on and some ribbon and there ya go.

Our sponsor this week is Sweet N Sassy Stamps. They have a wonderful variety of digi's as well as other stamps too. So go check them out, you won't be disappointed. Korin is giving away a fantastic prize for one lucky winner, so get your entries in before 11:59 p.m. Saturday night Dec. 12.

Now go take a look at the inspiration waiting for you at the SSCC blog.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed week!!

I really hope my dad likes lemon meringue pie. UMMM...ya I think he does. Who wouldn't, it's so yummy.

The Sweet Stop Challenge!

Hi All!! I feel like I'm on a roll with all these cards I'm making:) It's nice to be in my craft room and just create. I'm so glad I had the day off today to do that. I made this card for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge. Following a sketch is my favorite thing to do when it comes to making a card. Of course I do like to follow a recipe, and other challenges, but the sketch ones are for me!!

I made this one using the SSS32 Sketch. I used SU c.s. and some dp I had around. The image is from SNSS digi that was a free one not too long ago. I love this one, he's so cute. Thanks Korin for making him available. So that about wraps it up for me today.

Have a super week! Thanks for stopping by:)
