KLSNS Flowers & a sketch

Good evening all!!  I have a card here I made for the KLSNS challenge.  The challenge is for us to use FLOWERS somewhere on our cards.  The second part of the challenge is to follow the sketch provided here.

It's that simple.  Plus this week there will be some suprise goodies as well from the KL stampin and scrappin store.    So I hope you can join in.

For my card, I used an image I got from a friend of mine, Helen Phelps.  She sent me a few stamped images to play with.  Thanks Helen, I so appreciate it very much.   I turned the sketch around a bit, but it's still there.  Then I added some dew drops and some flowers and used some dp and card stock I had from my stash.  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great week:)

SSCC #41 - Hebrews 11:6

Good Evening!  I'm sorry I'm late posting this today.  I've been at the coast with the family and just got back tonight:)  So here is my card for this week's Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge.

Our hostess this week is the super talented Linda Lucas.  Here is her verse she chose:

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him

Linda's challenge for us this week is to use a heart on your card, it can be on your DP, an image or an embellishment -

Our sponsor is the wonderful Digital Delights by Louby Lou.  They are offering 5 digis to one lucky winner.  And it's your choice to pick:)  If you havent' been over to the store, please go and check it out, lots of cool stuff.

For my card, I used the cute Lara Ladybug from Digital Delights.  I kept it CAS this time and I did some half stitching.  The sentiment is from SU 'edgy eloquence'.  Hope you enjoy!!

Designed 2 Delight Dragonfly Collage

Hello everyone!!  I have a card here that I made for the Designed 2 Delight progressive challenge.  Each week there is a new freebie for those who played in the previous week.   This week was this pretty dragonfly collage.  It's so cute!!  Thanks Faith.   I colored it in using my copics,  just got some and I love them.  I also used dp from the new DCWV stack called "Summer Dream"  and then used 2 of my nesties.  I added some pearls up in the corner.

I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch for my card.  Here is the sketch.

My sister, Kristine, and I often have our own 'sister' challenges.  So we both used the same image and different sketches.  Hop on over to her blog to see what a gorgeous card she has made.   Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful week:)

SSCC #40 Isaiah 64:6

Happy Sunday!  What a great day to be here:)  Today starts another weekly challenge over at Stampin Sisters In Christ.  Our hostess for this week is the wonderfully talented Peggysue.  Here is the verse that Peggysue chose for this challenge...

Isaiah 64:6 KJV "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."

The challenge for us is to use distressing or sponge the edges of your project, any chosen technique to give it a vintage or distressed look.

Our sponsor this week is Unity Stamp Co.  Here's the stamp set they will be donating..

Isn't this a gorgeous set?   I love it!  One of you can win this set by entering in our challenge.  You have until next Saturday night, May 29.  Wow!  It's almost the end of May already!  This year is flying by.

For my card, I used the Princess La La, from La La land,  and made up my own sketch.  The dp I used is from my stash and so is the lace.  I added some stickles to her crown and belt and added a diamond as her necklace.  It's hard to see, but the edges of the dp are distressed.  I've always wondered what tools are being used to accomplish this look.  My tool of choice is the seam ripper.  What's your's?  I'd love to know:)  I have entered this card in the La La Land challenge for this week and that is to make a Birthday Card

Don't forget to stop by the SSCC blog to see what the other DT Sisters have made.  You'll be inspired for sure.  Thanks for stopping by, have a great week:)

D2D and a sketch challenge!!

Happy Monday!!  Today I have another card for the Designed 2 Delight progressive challenge.  My sister, Kristine, and I have been entering these for a few weeks now, and just love the freebies you get for entering.

Kris and I decided to make this one a sister challenge, so we used the color challenge from scs CC270, mambo suede.  The colors we are to use is Melon Mambo, Soft Suede and neutrals of our choice.  The dessert option is to use wood grain/patterns on your card.  So I made this wood frame from this tutorial here.

The other part of our challenge was to each come up with a sketch without telling the other.  And you know what?  We used the same sketch.  It's this one here from Sweet Sketch Wednesday...

Thanks so much for stopping in, and don't forget to hop on over to Kristine's blog to see her card.  It's gorgeous.  Have a great week:)

Designed 2 Delight Sister Challenge!

May Flowers

Good Morning!  It's Monday and the start of a new week:)  Today I have a card I made for a couple of challenges.  The first one is for D2D.  This lovely watering can was the freebie for this week, still is, and you have the chance to get more freebies if you hurry and snatch this one up.  I finally got myself some copics, so I used them and I LOVE them.

The second challenge is the Flutterby Wednesday challenge.  All you have to do for this challenge is use a butterfly, angel or fairy on your project.  How simple is that right?  This is the first time I'll be entering this challenge, but it looks real fun:)

For my card, I used the new Summer Dream stack from DCWV.  There are so many pretty papers in that one.  I also used the circle nesties and punched out some butterflies.  Then added the flower in the corner.

Oh I almost forgot, the sketch I used is from this weeks OCC sketch challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a great week:)
