SSCC # 24 - Giddy-Up

Good Morning!!  Happy Sunday to you all:)  We have another great challenge for you over at SSCC.  Before I get to the challenge let me first say our sponsor this week is Mo's Digital Pencil.  If you haven't been over there, you must go see what she has in her store.  Lot's of wonderful digis.  Also, images that would be perfect for this challenge.  So let's get to it....

Our hostess this week is the gifted and talented Helen Phelps.  She does some amazing things with her cards and other creations, be sure to go check out her blog.

Verse:  Matthew 18:4 "Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."

Challenge:  Make a card with an image of a child or childlike things on it. (such as a card with toys or a saying about children, but not a baby card!)

For my card, I used the image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Giddy-up.  He reminds me of my son at that young age riding around on his 'big wheel'.  Oh to be young again!!  At least young-at-heart, right?

Now hop on over to the SSCC blog to see what the other DT members has in store for you.  You'll
definately be inspired to make something!  Can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping by!!  Have a blessed day:)

SSCC #23 - 1 Peter 1:23

Happy Sunday!!  I know I've said it before, but my how the weeks just fly by. Before ya know, it's going to be spring....Yeah!  I'm ready for warmer weather.

It's time for another weekly challenge over at SSCC.   I really enjoy seeing all the creations you make and enter on the blog,  I get real inspired.  There is definately alot of talent out there.

Our hostess for this week is the talented Peggysue.  The scripture she has chosen is from 1 Peter 1:23, and it reads..."For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God."

Challenge:  For this challenge, since most seeds come up as tiny green shoots, use the color green somewhere in your creation, not all over green, just a touch somewhere.
Can't wait to see all the wonderful things you can do with this challenge.

Sponsor:  We are delighted to have Incy Wincy as our sponsor this week.  Thank you!!  If you have some time, you should go check out the incy shop,  it's full of fantastic things.

For my card, I used basic grey paper pack 'lemonade'  and the magnolia with tulips.  I added some heart shaped buttons and a few pearls to finish it.

Now head on over to the SSCC blog to see what the other DT's have created.  You just might be inspired to create something of your own.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

SSS 39 - Happiness

Good Evening!!   This card is for the SSS challenge blog.  It is to use the sketch provided with a twist!  To use a sentiment for your main focal point of your card.  How cool is that.   I used a clear stamp that I've had for awhile,(don't remember where I got it actually) and some dp I had in my scrap pile.

Please stop on by the SSS challenge blog and take a look at the wonderful inspiration,  the winner will win a fabulous $10.00 GC and the better news is that if they get 60 entries, they will have a second drawing for another winner.  Whooohooo!!!!  So hurry and make that card.

Happy Sunday!! My how time is flying by, January is half way done.

We have another great challenge for you over at SSCC. The DT's creations are amazing. Be sure to stop by.

Our hostess for this challenge is the super talented Candace Mitchell. She has a great challenge for us, but before we get to that just let me say that one lucky person could win a fabulous prize for entering your card/project.

Sponsor: Our sponsor this week is once again Layers Of Color. They have been so generous to donate another fantastic prize. Laura has some terrific stamp sets in her store as well as other wonderful things too, be sure to check that out too.

Verse: Joshua 24:15 - As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Challenge: Create a card or project focused on the "home." For example, a housewarming card, or decor for the home.

For my project, I made a shadow box card. The tutorial I used is from SCS, which you can find here. The dp is from DCWV 'Garden Party'. Very pretty papers in that stack. Then I added some pearls on the sides and finished it off with a prima flower. I hope you get a chance to go to the SSCC blog and see what inspiration the DT have to offer. You won't be dissapointed:)

Bubbletime Sophia - It's Your Day! Spoil Yourself Silly

Good Morning!! Doesn't a nice warm bath sound good about now? It would sure warm me up from the cold, cold weather! Sophia is enjoying her bath along with her rubber ducky. This is the new SOTM from Paper Pretties. Isn't she cute? I used the sketch from the weekly challenge from Paper Pretties. Instead of an oval, I used a square-ish shape. So sorry about the picture being off. I'm getting used to Paint.net again.

My sister, Kris, and I often have sister challenges. So when we got this new stamp, we decided to put it to the test and see what we come up with. You can see hers on her blog here, as well as the Paper Pretties gallery. She has her own tutorial on the reverse tent topper card. Be sure to check it out.

Thanks so much for stopping by! God Bless:)

SSCC # 21 Hosea 6:1

Good Sunday Morning!! It's so good to be back:) Not having a computer for 2 weeks was frustrating and felt like I was going crazy. But I'm back, with a new computer I might add, and am so glad.

Welcome to another challenge week over at SSCC. Our hostess for this challenge is the wonderfully talented Pamela.

The Verse: Hosea 6:1 "Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces, but he will heal us; he has injured us, but he will bind up our wounds."

The Challenge: To make the broken look beautiful...create a mosaic, or tear apart and stitch back together. In some way, have your image look broken.

The Sponsor: Thanks again to Simon Says Stamps. Your sponsorship means so much to us. If you have some time, be sure to check out the store, there's some wonderful 'stuff' there.

Be sure to enter the challenge this week for a chance to win a fabulous prize!! You have until Saturday January 16th.

Be sure to hop on over to the SSCC blog and see what the other DT Sisters have made. You'll be glad you did.

Now, does anyone know of a picture editing program I can install on my computer. I'm having a problem with paint.net. Maybe a software program I can purchase??? Help! I don't have any way that I can put my watermark on my cards. Thanks:) I apologize for the picture not looking so great.

Thanks for stopping by!! God Bless:)
