KLSNS Snowflake Challenge Card #2

Good Morning all! Did everyone have a good weekend?? I'm just sorry it's over so quickly! Today's post is my 2nd card for the KLSNS Snowflake Challenge over at KLSNS. It runs through today. So hurry on over and get your card entered. There's a $10.00 gift certificate and a stamp of Kelly's choice up for grabs. Whooohooo!!!

This is my card I entered. I kind-a-sorta used the Friday Sketchers sketch but embelished a bit more. The Tilda I used is from the Magnolia Butterfly Collection . Tilda is actually holding a bee, but I cut that out and put a snowflake that I punched out in place of that.
The dp is some stuff I had already laying around. Then I added some embelishments and there ya go.

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great week:)

La La Land Weekly Challenge...

Good afternoon!! This is my 2nd post for today. My sister reminded me about the La La Land Challenge that's going on, but ending tonight at midnight. So I quickly ran to my craft table and made this card for the challenge. And here it is...

The challenge is to have a recipe with your card. And the recipe is to have 3 different dp, 2 c.s. (one can be white or whatever your image is on) and 1 embelishment. Fairly simple, but I had a rough time with the 3 different dp's. I don't know why that gets me every time. OH well! I used the Santa La La and the dp is from Basic Grey 'Eskimo Kisses'. I added 2 different kinds of buttons just to make it a bit more interesting.

Hope you enjoy and have a great week!!

Thanks for stopping by:)

Happy Thanksgiving...SSCC #14

Good Morning!! Happy Sunday to you all. Can you believe it, Thanksgiving is almost here. I've got so much to be thankful for, my family for one and the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Without him, I wouldn't be ME!

Welcome to another challenge at Stampin' Sister's in Christ. Our sponsor for this week is none other than ODBD. They have been so generous to donate a great stamp set. And it's a gorgeous one. Please see the SSCC blog for more info.

This weeks host is the wonderfully talented Helen Phelps. She has chosen the scripture taken from Galatians 6:9- Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Our challenge is to make a Thanksgiving card/project or a giving thanks card (for those of you who don't celebrate Thanksgiving). This opens a whole range of things to be thankful for. Thanks Helen for this wonderful challenge.

Here is my card...

I used a digi from Whimsie Doodles - 'get stuffed'. I thought it would be perfect for this challenge. The dp is from Basic Grey Indian Summer, perfect colors for Thanksgiving I think. Now hop on over to SSCC and see what the other 'Sisters' have in store for you! There's tons of inspiration there:)

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and be safe!

Lili's Cleaning Day...

Good Morning!! Are you having a good week so far? Just think, it's almost FRIDAY YAY:)

I made up this card for my sister, Kristine. She sent me this cute Lili image with the vacuum and I just had to use it for her.(nothing meant by it, of course). In case you didn't know, I'm a partner in a house cleaning business. So natrually, she thought of me when she sent this image.

The sketch I used is from Friday Sketchers. I used some dp I had from DCWV. I'm trying to use up some of my scrap pieces, I have so many of those.! Added a flower and a few accent dew drops and there ya go.

Hope you enjoy!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day and a safe and happy weekend!!

SSCC #13 Shadow Box Challenge

Good Sunday Morning! I hope all of you enjoyed your week. It's time again for another great challenge over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ. This one I know you all will enjoy.

Our sponsor this week is Layers of Color. Laura Campbell, owner and illustrator, has some awsome stamps in her store. Please go check them out. She has generously donated a beautiful stamp set of butterflies to myself and 2 other Sr. DT members, Kristine and Lisa, which I have used one of them on my card today. Thank you so much Laura!! One lucky winner will also recieve this stamp set from Laura too. Good luck!
And here is my card....

Our lovely hostess this week is the talented Peggysue Turner. The scripture she chose for us is from 1 Corinthians 13:12 (King James Version): "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." Great verse Peggysue. You can read her awsome story on the SSCC blog here.

The challenge for us is to make a shadowbox card. No more shadows, no more dim reflections when we get to heaven! You can find a tutorial for creating the shadowbox card over at Splitcoaststampers. There are so many options with this, so use your imagination. We can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a happy Sunday:)

Digital Delights Ginger Girl Challenge

Good afternoon!! This is my second post for today. I just had to show you what I made for the Digital Delights Ginger Girl Challenge over at SNR. The challenge runs through tonight so hurry over there to get this free digi. It's so cute!! There's an awsome prize for one lucky winner.

I have to be honest with you, but when I first saw this digi, I thought she was holding a lollipop! Then my sister, Kristine, told me it was a spoon. UMMM dah, of course it's a spoon, she's sitting on a mixing bowl. Sometimes I don't know where my brain is, but you can make it whatever you want it to be. Thanks so much for dropping by. Have a fun and safe weekend!!

SSCC #12 - John 15:13

Good Morning All!! Happy Sunday to you. Today starts another challenge week over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ. I hope you all get a chance to come take a look at the wonderful samples made by the DT.
Here is my creation...

I used a digi (flying high Ridley)that I got from Digital Delights and colord him in using SU markers. I'm still new to watercoloring and such it took a couple tries. The sketch I used is from this weeks Mojo Monday challenge.

The sponsor for this week is none other than Paper Pretties. Christie is donating a wonderful stamp set "Made with Love", go check out all the neat stuff over there.

Our hostess for this week is the wonderful and talented Candace. The scripture she chose for us this week is from John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."

The challenge is to make a card/project for our 'Heroes'. For more info click here.
Also, please visit the SSCC blog for more info as well.

It's amazing what our men and women in the military do for our country. They truly are 'Heroes' in my book. So it's wonderful that we can take a moment and reflect on what they do for us so that we can keep living in a Free country and worshiping our wonderful God.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed day!

SSCC # 11 - Deut. 31:8

Good Sunday Morning!! Today starts another chanllenge week over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ. We've been getting so many many wonderful entries and I enjoy seeing what you all create.

This weeks sponsor is none other than Cornish Heritage Farms. CHF carries unique stamp collections, such as Thomas Kinkade, Saturday Evening Post, and Elvis, plus artists like Mona Lisa Moments and the Kim Hughes Collection...in addition to their own awesome line of stamps. They also offer a wide variety of paper crafting tools, accessories, cardstock and designer paper...a one-stop shop! Plus there will be an awsome prize for one lucky winner. Go check it out over at SSCC.

Pamela Young is our hostess this week and the verse she chose is Deuteronomy 31:8 "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

Pamela's challenge for us is to create something about when God is "unseen". (ie. scrapbook LO that reminds you that God is always with you; a card to encourage a friend and remind them that God is with them; or something to hang on your wall.

Here is what I came up with...

I must say that it is a comfort to know that God IS always with us, guiding us, encouraging us. There are many times in my life that I forget that and then I remind myself that he really is here for me, for all of us. Which is why I love this verse. Thanks Pamela for chosing this one:)

Now it's your turn...Head on over to SSCC and see what the other Sisters' have created and maybe you'll be inspired too!!

Thanks for dropping by. Have a Super Blessed Day!!
