SSCC #28

Good Morning!  It's time for another scripture based challenge over at Stampin Sisters In Christ Challenge blog.  This weeks hostess is the wonderful Pamela who chose this verse to share.

Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Here is what Pamela has to say about the challenge this week.
"You have free reign of what you want to do this week. But here's the deal: I want you to actively do this as an act of worship to our God. Before starting, pray. Thank God for your gift. While working, feel free to pray more, or perhaps sing out to Him. Put your focus on Him and remember that it is He who gave you your gift (however good or bad you think you are at this) and remember that it makes Him happy to see you at work. Do this challenge, as if you were doing it for Christ himself!"

Our challenge this week is sponsored by Christian Paper Crafts, who is offering a wonderful stamp set.  Make sure to check out the SSCC blog to see the beautiful set.

For my card, I used the scs tutorial for the free standing pop up card see here.  I used some dp I had in my stash and the stamp is from a set I got at JoAnns (not sure what the name of it is).  Then I added a flower and a couple of pearls and the 'friendship' is from SU's wonderful words set.

Be sure to check out  what the other DT sisters have made over at SSCC.

Thanks for stopping by!!

SSCC #27 - Esther 4:14

Good Morning!  Today we have another scripture inspired challenge for you over at Stampin' Sisters In Christ.  Our sponsor for this week is a company I'm not really familiar with, but hope to be soon and it is Designed2Delight.  They have some wonderful digi's and challenges going on too.   Our hostess for this challenge is the talented Laurie.

The verse Laurie chose this week is Esther 4:14 “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”

Laurie's challenge for us this week is to make a project using a time piece or in some way denoting time.  For some examples of this please visit the SSCC blog and check out what the other DT sisters have made.  There is lots of inspiration going on over there, so please come on over:)

For my card, I chose to use a stamp from a set that I got at Michael's.  It's called 'Time Flies'.  I also used some dp from the Mariposa stack from DCWV.  Then I added some ribbon and a few dew drops and there ya go.

I hope you will join us this week in this challenge.  I'm so excited to see what you come up with.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

God Bless you all:)

Birthday Clown!

Good afternoon!  As many of you know my sister, Kristine, had a birthday last friday 12th.  I made a card for her birthday blog hop.  But this is the card I sent her in the mail.  I thought it would be nice to send one to her so she has something she hasn't seen yet.

For my card, I used a digi from klmdigistamps.com.  Kris loves clowns, so I thought she would appreciate this.  I used the basic grey paper pad 'sugar rush' (love that)  and added some ribbon and a flower.  Then I took my clear gelly roll pen and outlined the entire image to give it some pizzazz!!  Buttons and pearls finish it off.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!  Have a great week:)

SSCC #26 1 John 4:10

Good Sunday morning to you!!  Happy Valentine's Day:)  We are having another great challenge over at SSCC.   Our sponsor for this weeks is once again Simon Says Stamp.  Thanks so much for being our sponsor once a month.  It's greatly appreciated.  There's a ton of great things over at the simon says stamp website.  Be sure to go take a look.

The hostess for this challenge is the super talented Ceal.  She has chosen the scripture from 1 John 4:10 "This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins."

Ceal's challenge for us this week is... Valentines day make a card or project for someone you love letting them know how much God loves them.  Thanks Ceal for this awsome challenge.

For my card, I used a digi from Sew Many Cards.  It was a freebie a couple weeks back.  I used some basic grey 'sugar rush' paper pad, added some ribbon and flower and printed out the sentiment on my computer.

For more inspiration, be sure to stop on by the SSCC blog and check out what the other DT sisters made!!

Thanks for stopping by!!  May God bless you every day:)

SSCC 25 Mark 10:7-9

Happy Sunday Morning!  It's time for another weekly challenge over at SSCC.  Before we get onto the challenge, our sponsor this week is Digital Ink Co.  They are graciously donating 3 digi stamps of the winners choice.  That's right 3.  But you need to play along if you want a chance to win.
Our hostess this week is the super talented Randi Barrett.  She is such an amazing and wonderful person.  The verse she picked for this challenge is from Mark 10: 7-8 "7. 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8. and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one. 9. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." (NASB).  Excellent choice Randi.  I have verse 8 stitched and framed that I got from my mother-in-law for our wedding.

The challenge is to create a card, project, or LO that reflects this sentiment by following this formula: Use whatever supplies/stamps you like to create whatever kind of card or project that you like BUT use must use TWO kinds of each item to make your ONE creation. An example would be as follows: 2 different colored pieces of CS, 2 different pieces of patterned paper, 2 pieces of ribbon, 2 brads, 2 buttons, and so on. Have fun with this one.  In other words, use 2 of whatever you use.

I have used a digi from digital ink co.  called 'Halen sleeping in tea cup'. Isn't he cute.  I used 2 star buttons, 2 types of ribbon, 2 colors of CS and 2 types of dp.  Also used 2 images (1 image + 1 sentiment counts).

Come on over and see what inspiration the DT has for you.  It's some awsome eye candy for sure!!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great week:)
