D2D's Fallin' In Love

Good afternoon! I'm here to show you a card that I made last night. My sister Kris and I made up a challenge that we use this image 'Falling In Love' from D2D in less than an hour. This one took me about 45 minutes.

I followed the sketch that my niece Carly created. She has several on her new blog Sketches by Carly. Here is the one I used...

I also made the snow that this cute little Polar bear is sitting on. I took 2 styrofoam balls and rubbed them together and Viola!! The dp is from DCWV. Thanks for stopping by and having a look. Be sure to hop on over to Kris' blog to see what she came up with. Also you might wanna take a peek at Carly's sketch blog and look there too. Thank you *Ü*

DD9: Cat's Meow

Good Morning all. Happy Saturday:) Today starts another weekly challenge over at Double Delight. The hostess for this week is Kris and her challenge is for us to use the cute image 'Cat'sMeow' from Designed 2 Delight and make a card using Summer colors. How easy can that be.

For my card, I used the sketch that my niece Carly made. She has made up quite a few sketches on her own and now has a blog Sketches by Carly to show them off. Kris also used one of Carly's sketches.

I used dp from the Cosmo Crickett pack De Lovely. Then added some ribbon to finish it off. I know you probably have never seen a yellow cat with pink stripes, but isn't the imagination a wonderful thing??

Congrats to Sharette of Scrapper N the Making ! She has won the drawing for a GC to the D2D shop.

Be sure to link your cards to the D2D blog as well as the Double Delight challenge blog. Thanks and have a great weekend *Ü*

Sweet Dreams Marci!

Hello all, today I made a card using this adorable image from La La Land Crafts. Right now, you can pick up this cute digi at the La La Land shop along with another cutie called Cheerleader Marci. They are available for a limited time only, so hurry over to the store and pick yours up today. The entire set will be released on Sept. 15 in rubber form.

For my card, I used some cs and dp from an old book I used for scrapbooking. The image, as I said before, is from La La Land and she is called 'Sweet Dreams Marci'. The ribbon I sewed a gathering stitch in the middle of and gathered it, first time I tried that. And last but not least, the sketch I followed was created by my wonderful niece, Carly. She has several sketches made up now and has put them on her own blog. Here is the sketch...

I modified it just a bit to make everything fit. Thanks Carly for this wonderful sketch. Thanks for stopping by...Have a great rest of the week *Ü*

Arrrg! Pirate Luka

Good evening. I have a card I made using the Pirate Luka from La La Land Crafts. He is available on digi for a short time, but will be returning on Sept. 15 in rubber form.

My sister Kris and I are making this our sister challenge, to use this image and see what we come up with. I think our cards are so different and yet so cute too. Hop on over to take a peek at her card. It's soooo awsome.

For my card I used some scrap dp for the corners and printed out the sentiment on my computer. The treasure chest is from a set that I got from Digi Drawn. Maureen has some of the cutes images at her store. Be sure to stop by and look around.

That about does it for my card. I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Now off to bed!!

SSCC 1 Year Birthday Blog Hop

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Our Birthday Blog Hop starts at the Stampin' Sisters In Christ blog! You'll want to start there and follow along. If you came from Kristine's blog, then you're on the right path. There are many blessings along the way and chances to win prizes, so we hope you'll join us! All of the blog links will also be there in case there's a break along the way.

This is one of my most favorite verses. It's the first one I ever learned (or memorized). It's amazing to know that God loves us SO much that he gave his son for us. That says it all right there. His love is so great, and I'm so glad to be alive today.

For my card, I printed out the verse on my computer. I used the ancestry paper pack and added some lace to make it a bit vintagey. I also used the Martha Stewart lace punch for the border. Thanks for stopping by.

Your next stop on the Blog hop is Peggysue. Hop on over to see what her favorite verse is:)

Have a blessed week and stay cool!!
