SSCC # 45 - STRIPES!!

Happy Sunday Stampers!! Today is another weekly challenge over at Stamping Sisters In Christ. This week's hostess is the wonderfully talented Randi Barrett. Here is the verse she chose for this week...

Isaiah 53:5 (KJV) But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon Him; And with His stripes we are healed.

Randi's challenge is to use STRIPES somewhere on your card.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Toucan Scraps. One lucky winner will win one kit of their choice. Thank you so much*Ü*

For my card, I used a magnolia that my sister, Kristine, stamped for me. I used some striped dp that I had from K&Co. called 'Hopscotch'. Very pretty pastel colors in that paper pad. I also used my MS fence post punch and added some peach ribbon. The flower I made from my Sizzix dies and I know the dew drops look green, but they are actually blue. The picture didn't come out very well. I wish I was a professional at photography, but I'm not. *Ü*
Please stop by the SSCC blog and check out the other DT's creations. You're sure to find some inspiration there.

One more thing before I go, this is my last challenge for Stampin Sisters In Christ. I have decided to step down. BUT, be sure to come back to visit because I will have an announcement very soon, as well as my sister, Kristine. Thank you so much for stopping by.

SSCC #23 - 1 Peter 1:23

Happy Sunday!!  I know I've said it before, but my how the weeks just fly by. Before ya know, it's going to be spring....Yeah!  I'm ready for warmer weather.

It's time for another weekly challenge over at SSCC.   I really enjoy seeing all the creations you make and enter on the blog,  I get real inspired.  There is definately alot of talent out there.

Our hostess for this week is the talented Peggysue.  The scripture she has chosen is from 1 Peter 1:23, and it reads..."For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God."

Challenge:  For this challenge, since most seeds come up as tiny green shoots, use the color green somewhere in your creation, not all over green, just a touch somewhere.
Can't wait to see all the wonderful things you can do with this challenge.

Sponsor:  We are delighted to have Incy Wincy as our sponsor this week.  Thank you!!  If you have some time, you should go check out the incy shop,  it's full of fantastic things.

For my card, I used basic grey paper pack 'lemonade'  and the magnolia with tulips.  I added some heart shaped buttons and a few pearls to finish it.

Now head on over to the SSCC blog to see what the other DT's have created.  You just might be inspired to create something of your own.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

So hurry on over and get your card entered. There's a $10.00 gift certificate and a stamp of Kelly's choice up for grabs. Whooohooo!!!

This is my card I entered. I kind-a-sorta used the Friday Sketchers sketch but embelished a bit more. The Tilda I used is from the Magnolia Butterfly Collection . Tilda is actually holding a bee, but I cut that out and put a snowflake that I punched out in place of that.
The dp is some stuff I had already laying around. Then I added some embelishments and there ya go.

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great week:)

SSC Challenge #6

Happy Sunday!! Welcome to our 6th challenge week at SSCC. The sponsor for this challenge is none other than Kelly Little of KLSNS, thanks Kelly for your generosity. Lisa will be the host this week and the scripture she chose is from Psalm 19:14: Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight Oh, Lord, my strength and my redeemer. The challenge is to make a card/project letting someone know that you are thinking of them or praying for them. What a great challenge.
Here is what I came up with...

This first I made for a co-worker of mine. She is flying to Florida to visit her mother. I thought this would be a nice suprise when she gets back:)

The second card I made for my Mother-in-Law. Her birthday is tomorrow. So I want to send her a Happy Hello, and wish her the best on her special day!!

Hope you enjoy the rest of your week. Now head on over to Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge blog to see what else is in store for one lucky winner:)

I made this card using the sketch over on KLSNS Girls Challenge. This is Tilda with Bee stamp, but I replaced the bee with a butterfly. I really like this sketch!! I think I will use it again.
