Happy Birthday Kris!!

Happy Birthday

Good afternoon!  I would like to first start by wishing my sister Kris a Happy Birthday!  Tomorrow she will be (oh did you think I was going to give it away??)   I won't do that to you sis!  Let's just say she is younger than I am *Ü*

I made this card for her using a cute image from The Paper Shelter.  She is called Little Sylfie and she is as cute as can be!  I first found this paper at my local craft store and then thought I must find something to go with it, so I looked and looked and found this cutie pie!!

I used the new sketch from Sketches by Carly for this card and here it is...

There is a challenge going on right now over at the blog that runs thru next Thursday evening.  One lucky player will win a $10 GC to her store.  WE'd love to see what you can do with this sketch, so enter as many times as you'd like for a greater chance at winning!!   Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a great rest of your weekend!  And once again....Happy Birthday Kris *Ü*

Happy Birthday, Big Cheese!

Hello, happy Thursday!!  Today I'd like to first say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my DH *Ü*  Today he is the big 50.  He probably wouldn't want me to say that but he doesn't read my posts so I think I'm safe and  what he doesn't know won't hurt him, right??  (oh was that wrong or what..hehe)

I used the newest release image from Doodle Pantry called Quirky Mouse, isn't he just the cutest?  He comes in colored as well as outlined versions and also some cute sentiments and 2 digi papers both of which I used on my card.  I used the colored version here and  I also used the new release Winter Accessories, I just love that set.  To see all the newest releases, just click here and I'm sure you'll find something that you'll love.

The sketch I used is from this weeks Mojo Monday  sketch 223 and here it is...

This challenge ends Saturday night so hurry on over, there's tons of inspiration over there!   Also a reminder of the Doodle Pantry challenge going on right now too.  Just use a Doodle Pantry image and you'll receive a new set for free!!  That's it for me, thanks for stopping by and have a great day *Ü*

A Super Birthday for a Super Girl!

Good morning and a happy Sunday!  I have a short post for you today so I'd like to start off by showing you a card I made for my niece Carly.  Her birthday is in a couple of days and she loves turtles. So I thought about this cute li'l turtle peeking over a heart from Doodle Pantry.  This set is called Critter Tops.  The sentiment I used is from a different Doodle Pantry set called Super Birdie.  That's also a very cute set that I recommend for your li'l super hero.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARLY!

Just thought I should mention that Carly has a sketch blog, Sketches by Carly,  and has a challenge going on right now, so be sure to hop on over and check it out.

The sketch I used for this card is from this weeks The Sweet Stop Sketch  and here it is...

It's actually SSS132, but they are doing a Blast From The Past where they revisit older sketches from the past throughout October.  This one is SSS77 and it was perfect for my image.  I hope you enjoy your weekend and have a great week ahead.

I added 2 daisy buttons and some ribbon I had from my stash and also used the scalloped square nesties.

I have the perfect person to give this too.  A cute li'l girl who's turning 5 next week.  I think she'll really enjoy this cute li'l bear :)

Happy Birthday Darling Hubby!!

dpbassfishKLW

Good Evening stampers.  I made this card for my DH.  His birthday is next week and he loves to fish, so I thought this image from Doodle Pantry would be perfect.  He’s always saying how he hopes to catch the 50 pounder one of these days.   Well one of these days his wish might come true!!   Anyway,  I added one of the sentiments that came with the set on there as well and don’t know how it got all crooked, but let’s pretend it’s not ok??  LOL!!

Laurie has so many cute digi sets available in her shop and if you’re new to digis, she has so many freebies for you to try out.  If you do grab a freebie, why not enter the challenge going on now,  all you need to do is use one of Doodle Pantry’s images.   You have til the 19th to get your entry in and the best part is you get a free set just for playing along…how cool is that.  Plus, one lucky player win a $20 Doodle Pantry gift certificate.

Well that’s all for me tonight.  Have a great and restful weekend!!  Open-mouthed smile

Happy Birthday Carly!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARLY!!

Today is my niece's 12th birthday.  So I would like to take a second and wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!   I made this card for her a couple weeks ago and waited to post it so she wouldn't see it.  Carly is a very talented young lady.  She has her own sketch blog Sketches by Carly where she draws up the sketches on her own.  She has like 16 already on her blog and they are all wonderful.  Thanks Carly, I can always count on you whenever I need something new.

For my card, I used the digi from The Wild Flower Patch called 'Winter Dahlia'.  The sentiment is also from the WFP 'Birthday Sentiments'.  If you have some time, you should go take a peek at what's in the store,  there's some awsomely cute digis for every occasion.  There are rubber stamps available also if that's what you like. The dp is from Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions.  Love those kits!!   For the sketch, I of course used Carly's sketch #15....

I encourage you to try one of her sketches and then link your card over on her blog here.  Next Friday there will be sponsored sketch, you won't want to miss that!!  Thank you for stopping by today, have a wonderful week, oh and again.....

Happy Birthday Carly *Ü*

Happy Birthday to my MIL!

Happy Sunday all:)  Hope you all are enjoying your weekend.  Today I have a card that I made for my MIL.  Her birthday is this Tuesday.   I thought for a great while trying to decide which image to use for her.  I do know she loves flowers so I decided on Marci with a Rose from La La Land.   I just love these new images, now available in red rubber.  I also used the dp from this month's Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit.  Very pretty papers and goodies in that kit.  I also used the sketch from my niece Carly.  She has some marvelous talent and you should check out her blog.  You might find some inspiration for your next card.  Here is the sketch I used...

*There's still time to get in on the OWH challenge over at Double Delight.  It will run thru Sept. 30.  Everyone who enters (using any of D2D's images)  will get a cute freebie e-mailed to them.  Check out the blog for the deets.*

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great new week ahead:)

SSCC 1 Year Birthday Blog Hop

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Our Birthday Blog Hop starts at the Stampin' Sisters In Christ blog! You'll want to start there and follow along. If you came from Kristine's blog, then you're on the right path. There are many blessings along the way and chances to win prizes, so we hope you'll join us! All of the blog links will also be there in case there's a break along the way.

This is one of my most favorite verses. It's the first one I ever learned (or memorized). It's amazing to know that God loves us SO much that he gave his son for us. That says it all right there. His love is so great, and I'm so glad to be alive today.

For my card, I printed out the verse on my computer. I used the ancestry paper pack and added some lace to make it a bit vintagey. I also used the Martha Stewart lace punch for the border. Thanks for stopping by.

Your next stop on the Blog hop is Peggysue. Hop on over to see what her favorite verse is:)

Have a blessed week and stay cool!!

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Good morning and a happy Monday to you. I'm here today with a post to show you a card I made for my mom's birthday on Wed. I purchased this digi from Limited Runs Stamps. There are some of the most cutest cupcake digis I've ever seen. Please stop on by and see for yourself.

My sister Kris also has this digi, and so we decided to make it a "sister challenge". You've got to go see what she did with this image. She's got the talent oozing out her fingers.

For my card, I used dp from DCWV Sweet stack and some buttons, ribbon and a few dew drops. The little sentiment is from SU. Hope you have a great week. Thanks for stopping by *Ü*

Oh ya, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

Happy Sweet 16 To My Darling Daughter!

Happy Birthday Ashley!! Today she is 16. My how time flies. I saw this image and thought how perfect it would be for her. After all she is 16 and will be starting driving classes next month. Oh boy!! I can't believe I will have 2 teenage drivers. Anyway, I love you Ashley, hope your day is very special.

I used this image from Karen's Doodles. It's called 'driving celebration girl'. Karen has some of the cutest images I've seen. I've purchased several from her for so many different occasions. I'm sure you'll find something for yourself too. I've used some dp from the DCWV 'Flower Shower' pack. The flowers I made from a tutorial from PTI. You can find that here. They're supposed to by poppies, but I'm not sure they look like what the tutorial says they should look like, but ya know what, it's ok. I think they turned out fine. I also followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers challenge #108.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you'll stop by Karen's Doodles and see what amazing images she has to offer. Have a great day *Ü*

Here is a picture of my 16 year old.

Thank you Grace for a wonderful verse.  The challenge is to make a card or project that depicts music or joyful praise.

Birthday Clown!

Good afternoon!  As many of you know my sister, Kristine, had a birthday last friday 12th.  I made a card for her birthday blog hop.  But this is the card I sent her in the mail.  I thought it would be nice to send one to her so she has something she hasn't seen yet.

For my card, I used a digi from klmdigistamps.com.  Kris loves clowns, so I thought she would appreciate this.  I used the basic grey paper pad 'sugar rush' (love that)  and added some ribbon and a flower.  Then I took my clear gelly roll pen and outlined the entire image to give it some pizzazz!!  Buttons and pearls finish it off.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!  Have a great week:)
