New Sketch Challenge #48

Good Morning stampers!  Today we have a new sketch challenge over at Sketches by Carly!   To see all the DT's creations, head on over to the blog for some inspiration.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Karen's Doodles, and one lucky player will win 4 digis of their choice!  The image I chose to use is called Special Delivery.    Isn't it cute??  In fact, Karen's Doodles has lots of real cute images to choose from as well as rubber stamps too.  The design paper is from Sheryk Designs.  It's the facebook special she has going on, just click the banner at the top.

Here is the sketch for you to use,  let's see what you can do with this...

This challenge will run for 2 weeks so there's plenty of time to enter!  Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!!

Happy Sweet 16 To My Darling Daughter!

Happy Birthday Ashley!! Today she is 16. My how time flies. I saw this image and thought how perfect it would be for her. After all she is 16 and will be starting driving classes next month. Oh boy!! I can't believe I will have 2 teenage drivers. Anyway, I love you Ashley, hope your day is very special.

I used this image from Karen's Doodles. It's called 'driving celebration girl'. Karen has some of the cutest images I've seen. I've purchased several from her for so many different occasions. I'm sure you'll find something for yourself too. I've used some dp from the DCWV 'Flower Shower' pack. The flowers I made from a tutorial from PTI. You can find that here. They're supposed to by poppies, but I'm not sure they look like what the tutorial says they should look like, but ya know what, it's ok. I think they turned out fine. I also followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers challenge #108.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you'll stop by Karen's Doodles and see what amazing images she has to offer. Have a great day *Ü*

Here is a picture of my 16 year old.

SSCC # 43 and a Father's Day card!!

Good Morning!!  It's a great day here in Washington, it's going to be a nice, sunny day.  Today is the start of another challenge at Stampin Sisters in Christ.  I do hope you can come over and join in the fun.  Our hostess for this week is the super talented Lisa Hjulberg.  Here is the verse she chose...

2 Timothy 1-6 "You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs--he wants to please his commanding officer. Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor's crown unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops."

The challenge is to make a Father's Day card/project... or just a masculine card

Great challenge with Father's Day being just one week away.  So get out those "GUY" stamps or masculine ones and get busy.  I've already got my FIL's card made, now I just need one for my Dad and my DH.

Our sponsor this week is none other than Simon Says Stamp.  They have been sponsoring us monthly and we so appreciate it.  Thank you!!  If you haven't been to the store, you must go and take a look around.  They have over 100,000 items in stock to meet your needs.

For my card, I used an image from Karen's Doodles.  She has several 'guy'  images available and this is just one of them.  It's called "It's your day".  I used my nesties to offset the image.  I used my copics to color it and then added some buttons and ribbon to seperate the 2 different dp's.  This card is for my FIL, and I know he'll enjoy it.   Now go take a look at what the other DT have created over at SSCC.   Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great week ahead=)
