Old Boots & DD27

oldbootsklw

Good afternoon stampers!  How’s everyone’s Monday going?  Mine’s going fine now that I’m home from work, hehe!!   Today I would like to share with you a card I made for my FIL’s Birthday this week.  It’s also for the Double Delight challenge Kris and I have going right now.  First let’s get to the challenge..

1.  Use any free image from Becky’s Place (she has so many cute images to choose from that you’ll definitely be able to find something for just about anyone!!)

2.  Make a Birthday card with it!

So for my card, I picked the OLD BOOTS!  I thought it would be fitting to use this image for a guy.  I paired it with some tickets I found and I believe they’re from scrapdictive.  The sketch I made up myself and used dp from DCWV.  I think that my FIL will like these boots, now I need to find a sentiment to go on the inside…HMMM!  Any suggestions??

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great week and enjoy creating *Ü*

Falling in Love Bear & a cupcake!

bearcupcakeklw

Hello stampers!!  My sister Kris and I often have sister challenges, so we decided to do one with the new image from Designed2Delight and pair it up with another older d2d image.  As you can see, I used the Falling in Love  polar bear.  This is the new challenge we have going over at Double Delight Challenges.

We are both entering the Card Ideas challenge from the Designers of the Designed2 Delight Team. The challenge is to make a card/project with a Christmas/ winter color combo.  You must use any Designed2Delight images, use blues and purples with white or black being the neutral color, and any embellishment that seems “icy” to you…glitter, glossy effects, clear coating, etc. The deadline is this Friday so you still have a few days left.

Here is the newest freebie from D2D…if you participated in last weeks challenge, you got this sent to your inbox.   If you missed last week, then you can purchase it in the store.  Isn’t it a cutie!!

So that’s about it for me today..Hope you have a great week!!

Doodle Pantry Challenge #5

Good Evening everyone!!  Today I have a card that I made for the Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #5.  The challenge is to use any of Doodle Pantry's images.  There were several new releases that came out on the 5th and this image is one of them.  It actually is a set called Heart Candy Ants.  To see all the new releases and challenge rules please visit the challenge blog here.  There's even a cute cute freebie just for playing along.

This card is also for the Double Delight Challenge.  My sister Kris and I do challenges about every week and post them on the challenge blog.   It's where you take a freebie from any company and add an extra challenge along with it...it's just something we like to do for fun.  So the challenge is to use a doodle pantry image along with these colors...

I used designer paper from the Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions.  I tried to get as close as possible to the colors in the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by..I can't wait to see what you create with your Doodle Pantry image and these colors.  Remember to link your card to the Doodle pantry challenge blog and Double Delight Challenge blog.  Happy Creating *Ü*

DD18 - Embossing

Good Morning!  It's time for another challenge over at Double Delight Challenges =)   This week's freebie from D2D was a request by Kristine.  Her daughters, my niece's,  are entering a robotic lego competition in December and they needed some t-shirts with their team name on them....The laughing Giraffes.  Isn't that cute...Faith drew up these cute giraffes for our freebie for those who played in last weeks challenge.  Thank you so much Faith,  they're so cute!!  Here is the freebie...

CHALLENGE:
Use these laughing giraffes (or just one of them) and add some texture to your card by embossing!  Faith shared some neat embossing ideas recently ... like running a dishcloth through your cuttlebug etc.  Be as creative as you'd like!  If you don't have an embossing machine, please feel free to create texture using another method.  Can't wait to see what you come up with =)

DD9: Cat's Meow

Good Morning all. Happy Saturday:) Today starts another weekly challenge over at Double Delight. The hostess for this week is Kris and her challenge is for us to use the cute image 'Cat'sMeow' from Designed 2 Delight and make a card using Summer colors. How easy can that be.

For my card, I used the sketch that my niece Carly made. She has made up quite a few sketches on her own and now has a blog Sketches by Carly to show them off. Kris also used one of Carly's sketches.

I used dp from the Cosmo Crickett pack De Lovely. Then added some ribbon to finish it off. I know you probably have never seen a yellow cat with pink stripes, but isn't the imagination a wonderful thing??

Congrats to Sharette of Scrapper N the Making ! She has won the drawing for a GC to the D2D shop.

Be sure to link your cards to the D2D blog as well as the Double Delight challenge blog. Thanks and have a great weekend *Ü*
