Sister Challenge - Fancy Folds!

Insert taken out of card..

Morning all!   Yesterday my sister Kris and I decided to do one of our fun "Sister Challenges".  So the challenge was to pick a fancy fold that we've never done before.  This is the Criss Cross Card.  I found the tutorial at SCS while scrolling thru the resources.    I've never made one before so I thought I would give it a try.  I must say that this was real easy to make with so many options.  I used some dp from DCWV Holiday Collections, and for the tab at the top I just used one of my nesties and folded it.  The sentiment and stamp are from SU.  I hope you enjoy this and take some time to make one yourself.  Now head on over to see what Kris has made.  Have a great Sunday and thank you for stopping by *Ü*

D2D and a sketch challenge!!

Happy Monday!!  Today I have another card for the Designed 2 Delight progressive challenge.  My sister, Kristine, and I have been entering these for a few weeks now, and just love the freebies you get for entering.

Kris and I decided to make this one a sister challenge, so we used the color challenge from scs CC270, mambo suede.  The colors we are to use is Melon Mambo, Soft Suede and neutrals of our choice.  The dessert option is to use wood grain/patterns on your card.  So I made this wood frame from this tutorial here.

The other part of our challenge was to each come up with a sketch without telling the other.  And you know what?  We used the same sketch.  It's this one here from Sweet Sketch Wednesday...

Thanks so much for stopping in, and don't forget to hop on over to Kristine's blog to see her card.  It's gorgeous.  Have a great week:)

SSCC #29 Isaiah 12:6

Good Sunday Morning!  Today starts another weekly challenge inspired by scripture over at Stampin Sisters in Christ.   Our hostess for this challenge is the super talented Peggysue.  The scripture Peggysue chose for us this week is taken from Isaiah 12:6 "Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you."    The challenge for us is to make a card that shows or expresses JOY or Joyfulness.  Super challenge Peggysue, thank you so much!!

Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Town Scrapper.  I've personally never heard of them before, but after going to their website, I know I'll be back there soon.  They carry some of most popular stamps out there.  Check out this very super cute humble pie stamp that's up for grabs for one lucky winner.   But you have to enter to play:)

For my card, I used some dp from K&Co. 'poppyseed'.  Then I made the frame using the SCS tutorial here.  It was super easy.  I printed the verse on my computer.

For some more inspiration, please head on over to SSCC to see what the other DT sisters have created.  Some real eye candy:)  Thanks for stopping by.

Challenge: Use [crafty] "treasures" on your card or other project... in other words, BLING IT UP! (ie. bling = gems, pearls, dazzling diamonds, charms,

For this challenge I used a digi from D.A.I.S.I.E Company. They have a whole digi village you can download for free. How awsome is that. So I chose the bakery and made an easel card. SSCC #13 Shadow Box Challenge

Good Sunday Morning! I hope all of you enjoyed your week. It's time again for another great challenge over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ. This one I know you all will enjoy.

Our sponsor this week is Layers of Color. Laura Campbell, owner and illustrator, has some awsome stamps in her store. Please go check them out. She has generously donated a beautiful stamp set of butterflies to myself and 2 other Sr. DT members, Kristine and Lisa, which I have used one of them on my card today. Thank you so much Laura!! One lucky winner will also recieve this stamp set from Laura too. Good luck!
And here is my card....

Our lovely hostess this week is the talented Peggysue Turner. The scripture she chose for us is from 1 Corinthians 13:12 (King James Version): "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." Great verse Peggysue. You can read her awsome story on the SSCC blog here.

The challenge for us is to make a shadowbox card. No more shadows, no more dim reflections when we get to heaven! You can find a tutorial for creating the shadowbox card over at Splitcoaststampers. There are so many options with this, so use your imagination. We can't wait to see what you create.

SSCC #10 - Watering Can

Good Morning!! Welcome to our 10th challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ. We are so blessed that so many of you participate each week, we just want to thank you for your support.
Our sponsor this week is the Rubber Stamp Shack , owned by Barbara and John DiPrizio. They are graciously donating the Scriptures stamp sheet #16. Thank you for that donation.

Our host for this week is Laurie . She is one of our newest DT sisters and we are blessed to have her on board. Laurie chose the verse from I Chronicles 16:34 “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”

The challenge for you this week is to make a card that expresses your thankfulness for someone or something they have done or to make a card that encourages someone to be thankful.

This is a wonderful challenge that I know many people will enjoy doing. Each one of us has someone in our lives that we want to express our thankfulness to. I know I do:). So here is my project I came up with...

I made this watering can from the SCS weekly inkling #181. I found this tutorial here. It's just the perfect gift to give someone that I'm thankful for. I know they'll enjoy this. I added pearls at the bottom and on each point of the flourish. I punched out some flowers and added some 'dum dum' suckers to complete the watering can.

Now it's your turn to create an amazing card/project. Can't wait to see what you do. Please visit the SSCC blog and see what the other DT sisters have created.

Thanks for stopping by!!
