SSCC #18 - Sketch

Happy Sunday!! Can you believe Christmas is almost here:) It's going to be a busy week for a lot of people! I know it will for me. Last minute shopping and baking. Welcome to another challenge week at Stampin' Sisters In Christ.

Thanks to all of you who participate in our challenges. I am honored to be the hostess for this week. So as I was thinking about the challenge, it dawned on me how busy our lives are going to be this week. So here it is...

The Challenge: is to make a card using this sketch below. That's it, simple and easy huh??

Verse: The verse I chose is from Luke 1:26-32. Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary.
And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was.
Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
"And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. "He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.

I know it's long but I wanted to pick a verse that depicted the birth of Jesus. One that goes with the upcoming Holiday.

Sponsor: Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Anne House. She is offering a 3 month subscription to AFP/SNR magazine. That's great, Thanks Anne.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a safe Holiday.
Merry Christmas!!

SSCC #17 Matthew 6:21

Happy Sunday Morning!! Today we have a new challenge for you over at Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge Blog. You're going to love this one!

Our Hostess this week is the lovely and SUPER talented senior DT Kristine Breach. Who I am very honored and proud to call my Sister (for real). I've learned so much from her in this past year about stamping and card making and she even got me blogging. Thanks sis!
Sponsor: Simon Says Stamps, thanks once again for sponsoring us this week. There will be an awsome prize for one lucky winner, so be sure to get your entry in. Also, be sure to check out SSS for some amazing stamps.
Verse: Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Challenge: Use [crafty] "treasures" on your card or other project... in other words, BLING IT UP! (ie. bling = gems, pearls, dazzling diamonds, charms,

For this challenge I used a digi from D.A.I.S.I.E Company. They have a whole digi village you can download for free. How awsome is that. So I chose the bakery and made an easel card. I used alot of sequined brads and stickles to bling it up. This challenge is very versatile, so use your imagination, I know it'll be great.
Now be sure to go over to the SSCC blog where you'll find tons of more inspiration from our lovely DT.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

SSCC #16 Thinking Of You!!

Good Morning to you all!! I'm so happy it's Sunday, because today we have a new challenge for you at SSCC.

Our hostess for this week is the talented Ceal Pritchett. She chose the verse from 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
That's a wonderful verse Ceal, thanks for choosing that one.

The challenge for us is to make a card or project using images of people (ie..children, men, women) to let someone know you are praying for them.
I used the image from Mo Manning , Em is the name of this digi. I paired it up with some dp I had and used my blossom nesties. I added some dew drops on and some ribbon and there ya go.

Our sponsor this week is Sweet N Sassy Stamps. They have a wonderful variety of digi's as well as other stamps too. So go check them out, you won't be disappointed. Korin is giving away a fantastic prize for one lucky winner, so get your entries in before 11:59 p.m. Saturday night Dec. 12.
