D2D and a sketch challenge!!

Happy Monday!!  Today I have another card for the Designed 2 Delight progressive challenge.  My sister, Kristine, and I have been entering these for a few weeks now, and just love the freebies you get for entering.

Kris and I decided to make this one a sister challenge, so we used the color challenge from scs CC270, mambo suede.  The colors we are to use is Melon Mambo, Soft Suede and neutrals of our choice.  The dessert option is to use wood grain/patterns on your card.  So I made this wood frame from this tutorial here.

The other part of our challenge was to each come up with a sketch without telling the other.  And you know what?  We used the same sketch.  It's this one here from Sweet Sketch Wednesday...

Thanks so much for stopping in, and don't forget to hop on over to Kristine's blog to see her card.  It's gorgeous.  Have a great week:)

Designed 2 Delight Sister Challenge!

May Flowers

Good Morning!  It's Monday and the start of a new week:)  Today I have a card I made for a couple of challenges.  The first one is for D2D.  This lovely watering can was the freebie for this week, still is, and you have the chance to get more freebies if you hurry and snatch this one up.  I finally got myself some copics, so I used them and I LOVE them.

The second challenge is the Flutterby Wednesday challenge.  All you have to do for this challenge is use a butterfly, angel or fairy on your project.  How simple is that right?  This is the first time I'll be entering this challenge, but it looks real fun:)

For my card, I used the new Summer Dream stack from DCWV.  There are so many pretty papers in that one.  I also used the circle nesties and punched out some butterflies.  Then added the flower in the corner.

Oh I almost forgot, the sketch I used is from this weeks OCC sketch challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a great week:)

SSCC #31 Psalm 51:7-10

Good Morning!  Happy Sunday everyone:)  We have another scripture inspired challenge for you over at Stampin Sisters In Christ

Our Sponsor for this week is once again Simon Says Stamp.  We are so honored to have them sponsoring us each month.   There is an awsome stamp set up for grabs for one lucky winner.  Just take a look at this....

The hostess for this challenge is the wonderfully talented Ceal Pritchett.   The verse she chose for this week is from  Psalm 51:7-10 "Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness, let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spririt within me."

Our challenge is to make a Clean and Simple card/project.  Meaning no frills or any extra embelishments. For my card, I used the digi from D2D challenges.  There is a freebie each week you participate in the challenge.  Thank you Faith for this cute digi.

Use your imagination, and if you need some more inspiration just check out what the DT made over at SSCC.  Can't wait to see what you all create:)  Happy stampin!!

Thanks for stopping by~  God Bless!
